Following a request by a Precision Volleyball information collector, Precision Volleyball comes with separate set versions where no colour remains (black and white text only) and all flags have been removed. The corresponding write-up for this non-colour version (NCV) follows:
This set contains all 24 teams that competed in the tournament co-hosted by Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland and Poland, with all teams including team cards and team listed ratings, as well as scoring cards (maximum of 13 players listed).
Italy became dual men's and women's European champions, and claimed their seventh men's title, when they defeated Slovenia, coming back from 2 sets to 1 down to win in five sets, as their opponent failed to win a first European gold for the third time in the last four finals.
Italy had beaten defending champions Serbia in the semi-final, whilst medal round host Poland lost to Slovenia - both by 3-1, and it was the Polish who claimed back-to-back bronze medals with a straight sets win over the Serbians.
Earlier in the competition, Czech Republic had pulled off the shock of the tournament, beating a France team who only dropped one set in the round robin, in straight sets, having gone 2-3 in the group stage. They would fall from that high to lose similarly in straight sets to Slovenia in the quarter-final.
