This set contains all 12 men's and 12 women's teams that competed at the Paris Games, with each team receiving team cards and team lists for ratings, as well as player scoring cards (maximum of 13 players included).
 
The hosts France retained their gold from Tokyo three years ago, bouncing back from a 3-2 loss to Slovenia in the group stage and then an epic comeback from down two sets to Germany in the quarter-final, before kicking up a gear to sweep Italy and then Poland in the final in front of their home fans. It was also the Poles' first final since their only other medal, winning in Montreal in 1976. The United States returned to the podium with bronze, in another straight sets win over Italy.
 
There was a new champion in the women's tournament, with Italy losing just one set in a dominant run to claiming the gold by brushing aside the defending champions, the United States, 3-0 in the final. Brazil slipped back to bronze - after losing to the USA following four straight 3-0 decisions - denying Turkey their first-ever medal with a 3-1 victory.
