France returned to the top of the podium as they won back the title they lost to Poland in 2023, as they took their second championship.
 
Slovenia topped the round-robin with an 11-1 record, ahead of the Finals host Poland at 10-2, while the eventual champions finished down in sixth with just eight wins.
 
And France fell behind 2-1 in the quarter-final with Italy before winning in five sets, then in an exhausting semi-final with the hosts, finally won 18-16 in the fifth set, that ended their hopes of retaining their title.
 
Like with the women's league, Japan would make their way through to their first-ever final, after straight sets wins against Canada and surprisingly Slovenia, but in a tight Final, it would be the French who would win tight 25-23 third and fourth sets to secure the win and trophy.
