In the first season of the new regular season and Grand Final format for the now 12 team World Tour, Argentina won the regular season title in the men's competition for the first time, but it would be France claiming their first overall title with a 19-5 win over the South Americans in the final of the Grand Final in Madrid.
 
After New Zealand topped the women's regular season table, it would be their rivals Australia taking back the overall title from the Kiwis, beating them in the semi-final in Madrid, before defeating France 26-7 in the final to lift their fourth title, and deny the French a historic double.
 
The first full qualifier tournament saw Kenya and Uruguay replace Canada and Samoa in the men's World Tour for 2024-25, while in the women's World Tour, China will replace South Africa for next season.
