It was the second time in a row that a team had gone to South Africa and won a Final, and again by five points, with a 21-16 win for the Scottish club, giving them their first title since 2015.
 
For Northern Gauteng, it was their second loss in a Final, after the loss to fellow South Africans, Western Province in 2022.
