This set contains all 24 men's and 16 women's teams that took part in the tournament held in Cape Town, with full team cards including try scorers and goal kickers.
 
Two time Olympic champions Fiji finally hoisted the men's trophy again for the first time since 2005 as they ended New Zealand's two-time championship run by beating them 29-12 in the final. Ireland claimed their first ever third place finish when they claimed a late victory over Australia 19-14.
 
In the women's tournament, Australia also ended the two-time run of New Zealand in the final, as they claimed their own second title (the only two nations to win so far) when a missed conversion in 'final play' time allowed them to hang on to a 24-22 victory. France, beaten finalists in 2018 easily beat the United States 29-7 to claim third place this time.
