The first tournament between Australia, Canada, New Zealand and United States' women's teams was held over three weeks in New Zealand, ahead of the 2022 (2021) Women's World Cup.
 
New Zealand dominated the tournament, lifting the inaugural trophy by winning all three matches and only allow one try, against Australia. The Aussies surprisingly came bottom with no wins though, with Canada winning their other two matches and the United States one.
