The United States' men remained unbeaten in two years of the tournament as they claimed a second gold medal although had been run close in the quarter-final, where they edged out Mexico 21-19. But after beating Trinidad and Tobago, they saw off Puerto Rico in a tight final, 21-18 for the repeat title. 2021 finalists Brazil claimed third by easing by T&T, 21-9.
 
But in the women's, the Americans were downed by Canada in the semi-final, with their northern neighbours going on to claim gold with a 15-11 win over Brazil. The United States beat surprise package Colombia for bronze, 17-13.
