This set uses the Simplified Play Module rules
 
This set includes all 9 men's and 9 women's teams that competed in the season, with team SPM ratings, goal scorers and goalkeeper identifiers. As Australia and New Zealand withdrew from both leagues due to COVID-19 complications (replaced in the men's by France and South Africa; in the women's by India and Spain), there are extra team cards for both teams based on results in their Tasman Series held in Auckland in 2022.
 
In the men's league, the Netherlands became champions for the first time, seeing off defending champions Belgium to the title by seven points. The Dutch only lost one match all season (alongside three shootout wins) - which came against Germany.
India claimed their best-ever finish in third place swapping places with the Germans in fourth place from the previous season.
 
In the women's league, Argentina ended the Dutch stranglehold of the first two seasons, as they won their first twelve matches - all in normal time - and held the Dutch to two draws, both lost by the South Americans, but those results were enough to see them come top by four points, with their three non-wins all shootout losses.
India - who claimed the other shootout victory over the champions - came off the sidelines due to the withdrawal of the Australians and New Zealanders, but pulled off a great season, finishing in third place, two points ahead of Belgium.
