This set contains full home and away team ratings and scoring cards for all 15 teams that competed in this season.

Note that this season had quarter lengths of 25 instead of 20 minutes, so that should be used for full play games; we've decided to use the men's quick play chart unaltered at this stage (as at release).

A historic season for Australian football, as West Coast became the first interstate champion of the former Victorian league, in what was the club's sixth season.

The top of the round robin season was extremely tight, with West Coast just two points behind the leaders, but in fourth place, with all three clubs above them finishing on 64 points. Geelong won the minor premiership by a massive 16% ahead of Footscray and Collingwood.

Geelong continued their often large victories with a 61 point win over their supposed nearest challengers Footscray in the qualifying final, before repeating that two weeks later in the preliminary final by 64 points.

But in between those two encounters, they were upset by West Coast  by 38 points in the semi-final. It did seem they would not flounder in the big game rematch though, racing into a 17 point lead at quarter-time and a 12 point lead at half-time. But a five goals to one third term turned the game around into the Perth club's favour, and they would stretch the 17 point lead at three quarter time until a historic 28 point victory.
