This set contains all 16 teams from the top level (New South Wales League) of rugby league in Australia, with all teams having home and away team ratings, as well as scoring cards that include try scorers and individual goal kicker ratings.
 
Canberra became the first team from outside of New South Wales to win the premiership, coming from a fourth place finish in the regular season to beat minor premiers South Sydney in the Preliminary Final, 32-16, and then Balmain in the Grand Final, 19-14. It was the Sydney side's second straight Grand Final loss after losing to Canterbury-Bankstown in 1988. This was Canberra's second Grand Final, after losing to Manly-Warringah in 1987, and they would go on to repeat in 1990.
