So it's taken me until collecting the data for the final international tournament from 2022 (Men's Nations League) to notice, but the Reception Errors stat is not as I thought for errors on returns, but simply allowing a service ace/point. So the two should be equal. By having this number represented with its own rating, there is currently a double jeopardy that means more service points are won than there should be. This will be removed from the releases, but if you are currently or are planning in future to try out the play-test set, please ignore the Receiving Error and Return Pressure ratings and calculating them before starting.
Now having realised this, I've gone back and 'corrected' any occurrences where the official stats don't match. I've assumed that there are no additional data inputs and only missing stats when they don't balance, so always have chosen the higher number of the pair. Knowing that adding to Reception Errors should add to the Receptions total, I perhaps should add to that number too when I change the other one through this assumption, but as I don't know that there is anything missing there, I've left that number as in the official stats. It shouldn't make much of a difference anyway to the ratings given the number of rallies.
So apologies for the product being deficient, but I'm glad to have realised this error in thinking on my part before releasing it with this problem still there.
